Arnold's Farm uses no antibiotics, hormones, grains, or animal by-products in raising our totally grass fed beef. Calves are born into lush spring pasture on our farm. After fall weaning and throughout the winter, they are fed our best alfalfa/grass hay harvested from fields that have not been treated with herbicides, insecticides, or chemical fertilizers. Going into their second year of life, they are returned in the spring to rotationally grazed pastures for finishing to market size.
We sell you the animal by live weight. Custom processing to your specifications is completed by a USDA inspected plant, AJ's Lena Maid Meats in Lena, IL, approximately two weeks after we deliver the animal. The table above gives estimated weight and cost; total cost will depend on the actual live weight of the animal.
